Shanen Burgoyne- 2016 Miss War Bonnet Roundup
Thanks for stopping by to check out the awesome queens we’ve got for the War Bonnet Roundup Rodeo for the 2016 year!
I am the daughter of James and Stephanie Burgoyne of Rupert, Idaho. It makes me pleased to say that I am your War Bonnet Roundup Queen this year. I never thought I would be the face of the War Bonnet Roundup Rodeo, but here I am! If you were to ask me how many years I have been riding 9 times out of 10 people will do a double take when I say 3 years. Yes that’s right 3 years. I’ve always been interested in horses I just never got into them until 3 years ago, when I decided to get involved in the 4-H program.
I competed in the freestyle division and the halter class in 4-H and actually won! I’ve had to learn the ropes quickly but if there is one thing I can say, hard work pays off, and dreams do come true!
So come on down to the famous War Bonnet Roundup Rodeo, August 4th, 5th, and 6th and check out what we’ve got in store for you! And if you happen to see me, stop and say Hi. I can’t wait to get to know all of you!
Alaca Rayanne Brown (Lacey)- 2016 Miss Teen Idaho War Bonnet Roundup
Lacey is a freshman at Madison High School where she is a 3.8 gpa student. She is working diligently to keep her grades up to help her reach her future goal of becoming an FBI agent. This will be her first year in high school rodeo where she will be competing in barrel racing, pole bending, and running for the district 7 high school rodeo queen.
She is a Teen 4-H horse project leader, and loves teaching and working with the youth. She also enjoys teaching horse safety, and how to work with your horse calmly and quietly to reach a common goal. She has enjoyed going to state with her horse 4-H horse project as well as her secretary’s book for the last 8 years. Lacey loves to bake yummy goodies, hunting, fishing, riding horses and making hot pads. Lacey got her start in queening when she was 7 yrs old wanting to be like her big sister. Even though her sister does not queen anymore, her love for queening and representing the sport she loves is strong. She is looking forward to the new adventure in her life as the War Bonnet Roundup Teen Queen and getting to know and to meet all of you.
She is excited to share this adventure with Shanen Burgoyne & Shiane Ritchie.
Shiane Ritchie – 2016 Miss War Bonnet Roundup Princess
Howdy, I am Shiane Ritchie, the daughter of Stacy and Stacy Ritchie, no that’s not a typo, both my parents’ names are Stacy.
I am 12 years old and live in Idaho Falls. I will be proudly representing the War Bonnet Roundup traveling and spreading the western way of life over the next year!
I volunteer for the toys for tots program and love the thought of another child getting a gift they would not have gotten if it wasn’t for the hard work of our Marines and this program. I enjoy rodeo and watching my brother ride bulls, singing, and riding horses.
I, like my brothers, compete in arm wrestling and I am a 3 time Idaho State Arm Wrestling Champion.
See you down the trail!
