WEDNESDAY- Rodeo Kick-Off Party

Downtown, Idaho Falls

This fun evening for the whole family includes horse-drawn trolley rides, face painting, a photo booth, carnival games, bounce houses, a mechanical bull (small fee per ride), and rodeo clowns and local mascots will be in attendance. One of the main attractions will be a downtown arena featuring freestyle bullfighting with real Mexican fighting bulls and mini bull riding. At the plaza, you’ll enjoy live country music and a live wild west shoot-out!! This event is FREE for the entire family and will be on B Street in between Capital Ave and Park Ave.

PRCA Rodeo Begins

The rodeo starts at 8 p.m. with the Sponsor Flag Grand Entry followed by wild horse racing – a new event sanctioned by the Wild Horse Racing Association of America and sponsored by the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes. During the event, teams of contestants attempt to catch a wild horse, saddle and ride across the finish line. Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) sanctioned events to follow and include bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing and bull riding. The rodeo will end each night with a freestyle bullfight.
