WEDNESDAY- Rodeo Kick-Off Party

Downtown, Idaho Falls

This fun evening for the whole family includes horse drawn trolley rides, face painting, a photo booth, carnival games, stick horse racing, straw maze, bounce houses, kids roping instruction, a mechanical bull (small fee per ride), kids costume contest (winners dressed in the best western wear receive tickets to the rodeo), and rodeo clowns and local mascots will be in attendance. One of the main attractions will be a downtown arena featuring free-style bullfighting with real Mexican fighting bulls and mini bull riding. American’s Got Talent Finalist, Loop Rawlins will entertain crowds with his lasso tricks. At the plaza you’ll enjoy live country music and a live wild west shoot-out!! This event is FREE for the entire family and will be on B Street in between Capital Ave and Park Ave.

Gates opens – Lots of FREE fun family friendly games, activities, food, and giveaways that the whole family will enjoy.  Face painting, a photo booth, carnival games, stick horse racing, straw maze, bounce houses, kids roping instruction, a mechanical bull,  and rodeo clowns and local mascots will be in attendance.

PRCA Rodeo Begins

The rodeo starts at 8 p.m. with the War Bonnet Roundup Royalty flag presentation followed by wild horse racing – a new event sanctioned by the Wild Horse Racing Association of America and sponsored by the Shoshone-Bannock Tribes. During the event, teams of contestants attempt to catch a wild horse, saddle and ride across the finish line. Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) sanctioned events follow and include bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie down roping, barrel racing and bull riding. The rodeo will end each night with a free-style bull fight
